Before You Compare Anything

This website is not for emergencies

For chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe bleeding, breathing difficulty, loss of consciousness or rapid deterioration, contact local emergency services immediately.

01

Getting started

What to send, when to contact us and what the first review can do.

What should I send with my first enquiry?

Send a short description of the diagnosis or symptoms, recent medical reports, scans or pathology information where relevant, previous treatment, current medicines and the question you want answered. If something is missing, send what you have and tell us what is unavailable.

Is the first review a diagnosis or medical consultation?

No. It helps organise the case, identify the relevant specialty and prepare questions for suitable providers. Diagnosis and treatment decisions must be made by a qualified treating doctor who has assessed the patient.

Can TIB HIND help with an emergency?

No. TIB HIND coordinates planned medical travel and is not an emergency service. Chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe bleeding, breathing difficulty, loss of consciousness or sudden deterioration require immediate local emergency care.

Do I need to know which hospital I want?

No. Start with the medical need. TIB HIND can identify the capabilities that matter and help compare suitable providers. You can also ask us to evaluate a hospital or doctor you are already considering.

02

Doctors and hospitals

How providers are compared and what a shortlist does not guarantee.

How does TIB HIND choose a hospital or doctor?

The shortlist is based on the diagnosis, specialty, doctor credentials, department capability, relevant experience, critical-care support, current availability, travel practicality and written provider information. No hospital is treated as best for every patient.

Does accreditation guarantee good treatment?

No. NABH or JCI accreditation can show that evaluated quality and safety systems are in place for a defined facility or scope. It does not guarantee an individual result or prove that a particular department is right for the case.

Can I speak to the doctor before travelling?

A remote opinion or consultation may be possible depending on the doctor, hospital and case. Some providers review records in writing; others offer video consultation. A remote response remains provisional until examination and required testing.

Will the doctor named before travel definitely perform the procedure?

Availability and clinical responsibility should be confirmed before travel, but schedules and medical circumstances can change. Ask the hospital to document the responsible consultant and explain what happens if that doctor becomes unavailable.

03

Costs and payment

Why estimates vary, what to check and who sets the final bill.

Can I get an exact treatment cost before travel?

Usually you can receive an indicative written estimate based on the reports provided. The final cost may change after examination, updated tests, a changed treatment plan, complications, a longer stay, different medicines or upgraded room choices.

What should a hospital estimate include?

It should identify the proposed treatment, expected stay, doctor and hospital fees, major tests, medicines, implant assumptions, room category, ICU assumptions, exclusions, payment terms and situations that may change the amount.

How is TIB HIND paid?

TIB HIND may receive a coordination fee from a partner hospital after treatment. Patients do not pay a separate TIB HIND coordination fee unless a distinct paid service is agreed in writing. Commercial relationships do not purchase clinical suitability or ranking.

Should I pay before receiving a written plan?

Avoid paying a material amount until you understand the proposed pathway, estimate, recipient account, cancellation terms and refund process. Urgent clinical circumstances can differ, but payment pressure without basic written information is a reason to pause.

04

Visa and travel

Invitation letters, booking order, companions and arrival planning.

Does TIB HIND guarantee a medical visa?

No. TIB HIND and the hospital can help with supporting documents, but the relevant Indian authority decides the visa application. Requirements and processing times can change.

When should I book flights?

Wait until the hospital has responded, likely appointment dates are known and the required invitation or visa steps are underway. Use flexible bookings where possible because clinical and administrative dates can move.

Can a family member travel as an attendant?

Medical attendant visa options may be available for eligible companions. The relationship, number of attendants and required documents depend on current Indian visa rules and the applicant's nationality.

What should I carry to the hospital?

Carry passports, visa documents, invitation and appointment letters, medical records, scan images where required, current medicine list, payment documents and contact details. Keep digital and paper copies separately.

05

Treatment and safety

Consent, plan changes, legal boundaries and what happens during care.

Can TIB HIND guarantee a cure or successful outcome?

No. Medical outcomes depend on the condition, patient health, treatment response and many other factors. The treating doctor should explain expected benefits, material risks, alternatives and uncertainty before consent.

Can the treatment plan change after arrival?

Yes. The pre-travel opinion is based on records. Examination, updated tests or new clinical information can change the diagnosis, procedure, stay or cost. Material changes should be explained before treatment whenever clinically possible.

Does TIB HIND arrange organ donors?

No. TIB HIND does not arrange, buy or sell organs. Foreign nationals pursuing organ transplantation in India must follow applicable law, including lawful near-relative donor documentation, embassy certification and Authorisation Committee requirements.

Can foreign nationals access surrogacy or sex selection in India?

TIB HIND does not facilitate either. Surrogacy is not available to foreign nationals under current Indian law, and sex selection is a criminal offence.

06

Privacy and follow-up

Who receives records, what to collect at discharge and support after returning home.

Who can see my medical records?

TIB HIND uses the records to respond to your enquiry and coordinate the next step. Records are shared with a hospital or doctor only when you instruct us to seek their opinion or arrange care.

What should I collect before discharge?

Ask for the discharge summary, operative or procedure note, investigation results, pathology information, prescriptions, implant details, warning signs, follow-up schedule, invoices and a contact route for questions.

What follow-up does TIB HIND provide after I go home?

TIB HIND can help organise records and communication with the treating provider. It cannot examine the patient or provide emergency care. Local medical support should be arranged for physical review, tests and urgent problems.

How can I report a concern or incorrect website information?

Email tibhind@gmail.com with the page URL, exact statement and supporting source. For a service concern, include the dates and communication details needed to investigate. Safety-critical issues are prioritised.
